"Oma's Quilt" by Paulette Bourgeois and Stephane Jorisch

"Oma's Quilt" by Paulette Bourgeois and Stephane Jorisch is a story about a little girl, her mother and her grandmother, published by Kids Can Press in 2001.
Oma, German for grandmother, moves out of her home of many years to the Forest View Retirement Home. All she ever does is complain about the food and the people. Emily who loves her Oma dearly wishes to make her feel at home with a special gift. The gift is a quilt made with all of the fabrics that remind her Oma of home. The illustrations by Stephane Jorisch are charming, bright and colorful!
