Sprial Shapes for Quilting

Although I have drawn these spiral shapes by hand for printing on paper, these patterns will suffice for my students until they can afford to invest in plastic templates. Simply print them out and trace them lightly onto your fabric with a light pencil or with ink that fades after washing. Some of the most complex quilts have been made with paper patterns and cardboard stencils; you do not need to invest in fancy equipment in order to create lovely quilts. The spiral shapes located here are: octagon, diamond, hexagon, triangle and crescent.
